Sandra Girouard
How do you balance work and your life with family and friends? How can you create harmony? Holidays usually bring the blues or depression while planning for family visits to your home, packing to visit family or friends away from home, thinking of ways to keeping anxious kids occupied and safe. Whatever the holidays bring to you, we all strive for balance. Sandra Girourd gave tips on balancing work and life as speaker of the month. How do you create a sense of completion?
Girourd explained harmony as all elements working together often simultaneously. She also explained how to have a sense of completion between harmony and balance. Her principles include:
- Compromise is not a dirty word. It should be a win-win.

Sandra Girouard described herself as a “serial entrepreneur.” She has run private music studios, owned and operated a “Bed and Breakfast”, been a long-term food storage supply distributor and currently owns a small online retail endeavor. Additionally she is the author of the blog “The Worthier Part” and provides web design and social media management services for select clients.

Christmas Party – Heart of Birmingham – December 16, 2016
The Heart of Birmingham Chapter held its Christmas Party at the Tavern at the Summit. Members brought toys for our “Toys for Tots” donation drive. Members and guests enjoyed the evening with good food, fun and fellowship.
Toys for Tots
The Heart of Birmingham Chapter members collected and donated toys for the Birmingham “Toys for Tots” drive as part of our Christmas celebration. All toys were delivered to Fire Station #1 in the heart of the city. We received a blessing by participating in this project which provides toys on Christmas morning to needy children.”
